Editorial Policies of the Publication

Science Advance knowledge publication expects original, high quality, and good ethical standards from authors, reviewers, and editors when conducting research, submitting papers, and the entire process of peer review.

Process of Peer Review:

All journals which are publishing by SciAdvknow publication have implemented and follow the process of double-blind peer review, in which author identities are removed/concealed from reviewers, and vice versa, in the entire process of peer review.

Process of Redundant (or) Duplicate of Publication:

Duplicate or redundant publication is a publication that overlaps substantially with one already published, in the press, or in an electronic media submission.  Refer to International Committee of Medical Editors.

The duplicate or redundant submission is the same article (or) the same data that is submitted to different journals at the same time. International copyright laws, ethical conduct, and use of resources required that readers can be assured that what they are reading is original.

The submitted manuscripts shouldn’t have been published or currently submitted elsewhere. Duplicate publication is a violation of the APA code of ethics and will be grounds for prompt rejection of the submitted manuscript.  If the editor wasn’t aware of the violation and the article has been published, a notice of the duplicate submission and the ethical violation will be published.

Author’s Conflicts of Interest about the particular study:

Article/manuscript submission time, the policy requires that each author reveal any financial interests, direct or indirect, or other situations that might raise the question of bias in the work reported or the conclusions, implications, or opinions stated – including pertinent commercial or other sources of funding for the individual author(s) or for the associated department(s) or organization(s), personal relationships, or direct academic competitions.  If the submitted manuscript has to be accepted, then the Conflict-of-Interest information will also be communicated in a published statement.

Process of getting permissions of the previously published materials to reproduce:

The prior and proper permissions are required to reproduce existing material from the copyright holder.  These types of articles can’t be published without the concerned author’s/copyright holder’s permission.

Getting Consent Forms from the Participants/Patients:

Getting and preserving a patient’s right to privacy is a must and important also. Authors should have to collect and keep copies of patients’ consent forms on which patients or other subjects of your experiments clearly grant permission for the publication of photographs or other material that might identify them.  If the consent form for your research didn’t specifically include this, obtain it/remove the identity/code. A statement to the effect that such consent had been obtained must be included in the section of Materials and Methods in the concerned manuscript.  If needed, Editors may request a copy of the patient’s/pariticipant consent forms for reference.

Getting Ethical Committee Approval from the concern Institution:

All articles dealing with original human or animal data must include a statement on ethics approval at the beginning of the methods section.  This paragraph must contain the following information: name and address of the ethics committee responsible, the protocol number that was attributed by this ethics committee, and the date of approval by the ethics committee.

Process of Plagiarism to the submitted manuscripts:

Journals published at Science Advance knowledge Publication, evaluate submissions on the understanding that they are the original work of the author/authors.  Reuse of sentences, phrases, data, figures without appropriate acknowledgment or permission is considered plagiarism, as is the paraphrasing of text, concepts, and research ideas.  All allegations of plagiarism are investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.  Refer to the following link for details: https://publicationethics.org/files/plagiarism%20A.pdf
